Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads!
Today I feel very fortunate to have had some wonderful Dads in my life. Although this day became more difficult after the passing of my Dad almost 10 years ago, today I celebrate his memory, and also feel so thankful and happy to be married to the most incredible Father to our little girl.
I love how Dads, for the most part, in my generation are much more present and hands-on. From Day 1 Joe has embraced fatherhood with dedication, attention and unconditional love. Although he has had his moments of apprehension and a little hypochondria whenever she gets the sniffles, Joe has been the best partner in parenthood and the most loving Dad to our little Kinley Rae. He’s the kind of Dad that looks forward to waking up early to play with her, even though he hates waking up early. He loves to cuddle with her every chance he gets. And the kind of Dad that even if he’s running late and pulling out of the drive way, if he sees her at the door asking for one last hug he won’t hesitate to stop the car, get out and give her another kiss… because he knows one day when she’s older he won’t get that chance.
Reading a financial book to her… maybe to put her to sleep : )
This girl sure does love her Daddy.
I absolutely love how he has no hesitation to play dress-up or paint her nails.
Our little Kinley Rae is also lucky to have a wonderful Grandfather in her life. He spoils her with love and will always be willing to play any game she asks of him. She’s definitely got her Poppy wrapped around her finger too!
So Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads that wipe away the tears, change countless diapers, play dress-up and give endless snuggles. We love you!
